I want you to know that I have a Firm Testimony of this Work, and that God brought me to this Church.
I have a testimony that this is the latter-day Kingdom of our Heavenly Father and that through His Grace, through
the Atonement of Jesus Christ, He has provided me personally and all mankind collectively, the Power to become
all that we can become and that we can work out our Salvation with help from inspired leaders and Prophets in this
life.
I have a Testimony in our Eternal Father in Heaven, and that He loves us dearly, with an Everlasting love, and
He has sent his only begotten son into the world to redeem us, being the Only Sacrifice possible to Redeem us.
"Neither is there salvation in any other:
for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." - Acts 4:12
We were nurtured by His side as children, and He placed in us, the opportunity through Heir-ship, to inherit all
that He has, predicated on our faithfulness.
I know that Jesus is the Christ; the Savior and Redeemer before all worlds; he is the Second Person in the Godhead,
the Eternal Son of the Father.
I also believe in the Holy Ghost, the Third Person in the Godhead, who is a Personage of Spirit, and by which,
He can enter in us and lead us unto all Truth. He is Verily the Testator of all Truth, and by and through Him,
all men and women can come unto God and be saved, via obedience to all the laws and ordinances of the Gospel of
Jesus Christ; and that the first Principles of the Gospel are Faith, Repentance, Baptism and the laying on of hands
for the Gift of the Holy Ghost.
I also have a Testimony in the Eternal Nature of mankind; and that God has an Eternal Plan for us, where we will
exist on a pathway of Eternal Progression; and that we have Eternal Potential, being Heirs of all that the Father
has which gives us an even greater willingness and desire to be successful in this life.
I know that God loves all of us with an everlasting love,
and would have all His children saved and come unto the knowledge of the truth.
We in this mortal state, have no understanding neither comprehension
of this Love which He has for us; however, our Lord Jesus Christ gave us a Supreme and Sublime example of that
Love in his Mortal Life and Ministry. We should spend every waking minute of our mortal lives seeking to be worthy
of that Love; yet we will, in our own weakness put such as our last priority in our lives; and the reason for that
is because we allow our "natural man" wants to overshadow what we truly need and what we can become,
thus enabling the power of Satan to rule in us; we must continually battle with him in our endeavor to receive
the Victory over sin and the world.
I trust in the Lord Jesus Christ as my redeemer and Savior, to bear me up at the Last Day, but such a Gift of God
comes with a Price. The Price is personal sacrifice. As He has taught us what Sacrifice is, we must emulate Him
as well as we can do. We may never achieve this lofty status in mortality, but we need to continue to work at it,
because one day, human weakness will be gone from us, and we will, as the Apostle Paul stated, 'Know even as we
are known..."For now we see through
a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.' - 1 Corinthians 13:12.
Paul also discovered through revelation from Jesus Christ,
that Perfection may not be obtainable in mortality, but the Lord said, "My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness." And therefore, we should also say, as did Paul, "..Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities,
that the power of Christ may rest upon me."
- 2 Corinthians 12:9
I know that God Lives and that Jesus is the Christ and that His Grace is made Perfect in my own weaknesses and
infirmities.
I believe in all the Holy Scriptures the Lord has revealed unto us, one of which is the Book of Mormon which is
another witness to the Divine Mission of Jesus Christ. I also know that God will, in his own due Time, send forth
more witnesses.
I have a strong testimony in the Restoration of the Church of Jesus Christ and the Gospel and also in the Prophet
of the Restoration, who is Joseph Smith, Jr. He was sent to us in this time, to usher in the last dispensation
of the earth, known as the Dispensation of the Fullness of Time:
"Having made known unto us the mystery
of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: That in the dispensation of the
fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are
on earth; even in him..." - Ephesians 1:9,10
I also know that we are now living in the final stages of this dispensation and that our Lord Jesus Christ will
soon return to Earth and usher in the New Age known as the Millennium; a thousand years of Peace wherein the Prince
of Peace will reign and direct the affairs of His Kingdom on Earth.
Lastly, I know that we all are sons and daughters of Heavenly Father and that He loves us with an Everlasting Love;
therefore let us seek to be worthy of the Blessings He has showered upon us now and those Blessings He has in store
for us in the future, through diligence, faithfulness and a desire to overcome the world.
"The LORD hath appeared of old unto
me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee." - Jeremiah 31:3 -
I bear you my Testimony that I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true Church of Christ
on the earth today, and that we need to be willing and able workers in that Church and Kingdom, and that every
member is a missionary and soldier in God's Blessed Army, and I bear you this Testimony in the Blessed Name of
Jesus Christ, my Savior and Redeemer, Amen.
