Jesus Christ, Lord and God Cheryl Cowart & Jake Jaccard. On a Mission for Jesus Christ and his Church We have often thought how important the word Mission means. What does the word conjure up in your mind? Some would think of the beautiful Missions that line California's coast line, built by the 18th century Catholic Missionaries to save the souls of the Native peoples of the western borders of the continent that became in time, California and America. After much consideration on the word, a mission is something that someone does to spread the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This makes them Missionaries to the cause they are seeking to share and forward. It is in this respect that my sister and I have chosen to put up this website in hopes of helping you understand something very Vital to the future of mankind, and which we have been given a Divine Mandate to share with you. This Mission we are on is to help you to understand why the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints stands out against the other Christian denominations - and much of the rumors and bad press are untrue and not based on truth. If you have a negative feeling when you hear the word, "Mormons" or "Latter-day Saints" - you need to spend a lot of time on this website to learn that you have been mis-led to believe the way you do. It also behooves you to do good scholarship and find out for yourself about this dynamic Church and Faith before throwing it out along with the 'wash water,' so to speak. For the sake of Truth, you ought to study it out in your mind whether you have been misinformed by your Church leaders or others, or history. This is why we have put up this Website. To clear out old misconceptions so that the Light of Truth may reign supreme. I would expect that you, as an intelligent person could do no less than a good study of these things BEFORE you make up your own mind. We will point out important differences between this Church which claims to be Christ's True Church, and the other Churches that teach Christianity in the world, which now number in the thousands! So much confusion and so many different doctrines all claiming to be Christ's Church stupifies the mind of any intelligent person. Why is this? Why is there so much confusion as to which Doctrines are True and which ones are false? The Scriptures teach us that until the confusion is eliminated there will be a need for Prophets, Apostles, teachers and Evangelists. See Ephesians 4:11-13 to prove what I said is true. What is that, you may ask? We are already Christians and we believe in Jesus Christ; why do you wish to 'convert' us to your way of thinking when we already believe in Christ and consider ourselves Christians. The answer seems to be on this wise: and I'll try to help you understand why we are seeking to enlighten you, even if you already feel enlightened. I can do that by posing a question to you.. What if there was some knowledge of the Christian Faith that you were not as yet made privy to? This New Light would give you even a deeper understanding into the Ways of God and His Eternal Plan of Salvation for mankind.. wouldn't you wish to know about it? Would you be so bold as to ask more questions about this New Knowledge, in spite of your current understanding of the Ways of God? Or would you in fear, feign from doing so, for fear you may discover that you have not known it all, regarding the Gospel? If it were I - and it was I - I would think I'd wish to learn how I could be more blessed and more enlightened about how I could attain even greater blessings and knowledge. This seems to be the crux of the whole matter as to whether you would or would not wish to learn more about this New Light and Knowledge. Are you willing to put self aside, along with vanity and every other reason why you would not at least put in the effort to investigate whether what we have to offer you can bless your life more or not? This is why we have decided to at least give you the option to make this decision on your own, and without prejudicial influence. After all, your eternal future is truly at stake here. We challenge you to step out of the Box of your religious comfort Zone to look into what we have to offer you here. That is all we ask. If you cannot accept, after doing a sincere investigation into our claims, we will then say, you are ok to go your own way, but we, at least have done our part in showing you these Truths, and you can then go your way, but we sincerely hope and pray that you will at least give us the opportunity to show you how you can live a better life in Christ.
